Absolutely, this course is ideal for anyone who doesn’t have any art experience. Our goal is for you to enjoy yourself while learning new skills and exploring your creativity. There is no judgement in our classes, just encouragement!

The course covers the art mediums of Sketching, Watercolour and Acrylic Painting. This enables you to learn techniques and develop skills across a variety of techniques and styles including; Shading and Perspectives to create 3D effects, Composition techniques and rules to better structure your layouts. Tips and tricks to help create realistic faces and figures, Watercolour skills such as wet-on-wet, dry brush, and wet-on-dry. Acrylic Painting techniques covering colour mixing, brush control, layering & blending.

All venues offer two courses to help beginner artists. Initially everyone starts with the Fundamentals course that covers a range of art mediums, styles and techniques. Experienced tutors guide you through the process step by step with one-on-one tuition and group demonstrations. After the Fundamentals course, we have the option to progress onto our Continuation Courses. These are very popular with current students who want to build upon their newfound skills and techniques.

The main course we offer is the Fundamentals course for beginners and the Continuation course for returning students. Both of these consist of 12 weekly sessions, each lasting 3 hours. These courses cover 3 mediums, Sketching, Watercolours and Acrylic painting. Each week, students will learn a new artistic technique and have the opportunity to practice and apply it. By the end of the course, students will have a comprehensive understanding of a variety of art techniques. We also offer Workshops for specific art mediums. These workshops are typically consist of 4 weekly lessons. Please check a specific venue for the schedule of courses available at that venue.

This course is ideal for anyone without any art experience, and it's typical for people to tell us they haven't done any art since school (often many years ago!). All you need is the willingness to learn! Our courses are designed specifically for beginners and improvers, and no previous art experience is required. Our talented Tutors give live demonstrations and provide one-on-one guidance, helping you learn quickly. There is no judgement in our classes, just encouragement!

There is no need to supply your own equipment. We will provide everything you need in class to create your art. Easels, pencils, brushes, paint, paper. It is all waiting for you to use…. and it’s good quality too.

It’s common for our students to return for more. After to initial Fundamentals course, we have the option to progress onto our Continuation Courses, which is a series of curriculums that change each semester. These are very popular with current students who want to build upon their newfound skills and techniques.

The fees include all the art supplies. Since we cover multiple mediums, there is a variety of equipment required. Rather than sourcing everything yourself, we make it simple and supply it all. You also receive expert tuition along with comprehensive notes to use during class and to keep as a reference. The course fees for the Fundamentals course are $648.00 - this is paid as a $149.00 deposit when booking, with the balance due when course begins. We also have a $47.00 p/w instalment option to spread the cost across the course duration.
